We are currently seeking an experienced Surveyor for a part-time position. This person will be responsible for performing land, topographic, boundary, and construction surveys to support the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of transportation infrastructure projects across South Carolina.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience performing surveying
• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification in SC
• Proficiency with GPS, total stations, and surveying software
• Thorough knowledge of SCDOT transportation and surveying standards

Responsibilities

• Collecting and analyzing field data
• Establishing survey control
• Preparing maps and layouts
• Providing construction staking for roadway and bridge projects
• Working closely with engineers, project managers, and the client to ensure accurate measurements and compliance with project specifications
• Sign and seal survey documents
