About The Position

MSA, a leading consulting firm, is hiring a Survey Technician II at our Rhinelander, WI office location! Our land surveyors use the latest in geometric technology and are continuously working to incorporate new capabilities. This position is primarily field-based, with an MSA vehicle available for project activity. While most projects are in the Greater Rhinelander area, occasional overnights are expected. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • A valid driver’s license is required
  • 4+ years of prior experience with land surveying experience required
  • The selected candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future. We are unable to provide or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in surveying, civil engineering technology, or related degree preferred
  • Surveyor in Training (SIT), or Certified Survey Technician (CST) preferred
  • Previous experience with AutoCad/Civil 3D is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Field work, including staking and surveying
  • Perform other office functions, including data reduction/computations, digital terrain modeling/surface creation
  • Assist project managers in the preparation of land survey documents
  • CAD drafting for municipal infrastructure projects
  • Assist in municipal plan preparation
