The Survey Technician will perform surveying duties to assist the Survey Lead. These duties include reading and interpreting property deeds, preparing deed composites, boundary surveys, and associated metes and bounds descriptions. The role also involves preparing ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, reviewing title commitments and reports, and preparing WSSC easements and various other types of easements with their descriptions. Additionally, the technician will prepare subdivision plats, process topographic surveys, compute construction stakeout, and process construction stakeout field notes to prepare cut sheets. The position requires interpreting construction drawings, familiarity with surveying field procedures and equipment, and preparing WSSC water and sewer asbuilt drawings. Other responsibilities include preparing house wall checks, final house location drawings, and condominium drawings.
