About The Position

Accura Engineering is seeking a Survey Project Manager to join our team in Atlanta, GA. This role involves assisting the Department Head with various administrative and project-related tasks, including proposal preparation, estimates, presentations, employee evaluations, and recruitment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land surveying, project management, and a proven track record of success in managing diverse survey projects. This position requires adherence to all local, state, and federal survey regulations, as well as company procedures.

Requirements

  • SIT or LS required
  • Proficiency in CAD, Least Squares Reduction and other Survey Software
  • Experience with Robotic Total Stations, GPS (including post processing)
  • Must be registered in Georgia or the ability to become registered within a year as a Land Surveyor.
  • Must have project management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field from an accredited program or a scientific area and/or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Will accept two year degree plus experience.
  • Must be Professional Land Surveyor in Georgia
  • Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) experience required
  • 10+ years of experience managing survey projects of varying sizes and complexity.
  • 8+ years of experience in land surveying
  • SIT license
  • Experienced with GDOT MicroStation/Open Roads Design (ORD) desirable
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with GIS platforms is desirable
  • Experience with scanners, drones, and other emerging technologies is desirable
  • Other states licenses are desirable
  • 107 Remote Pilot’s Certification a plus
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and Carlson
  • LiDAR collection and software experience (TopoDOT and Pix4D) a plus
  • Working knowledge of GDOT SUE process desirable

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Department Head in preparing proposals, estimates, presentations, employee evaluations, and the recruiting process.
  • Coordinate with office staff and clients as required.
  • Create and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Participate in pre-survey planning meetings with project managers, resident engineers, and contractor representatives.
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal survey regulations as well as Accura Engineering procedures.
  • Demonstrate a record of success on ALTA, route/database, boundaries, topographical, inventories, and other types of surveys.
