About The Position

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Survey Project Lead to join their team. This role is primarily responsible for implementing the land division strategic plan, business development, and operations for the Survey Service across the region. The Survey Project Lead will also mentor and develop local Survey Service Leaders within the region and collaborate with leadership to develop annual business plans and a vision for maximizing Westwood’s market share in the Survey Service. Westwood prides itself on its experienced and dynamic team dedicated to high-level professional services.

Requirements

Knowledge of the survey service consulting business
Must hold a professional survey license(s).
Four year degree related to land surveying, or similar, required
Excellent client relation skills
10-15 years of experience in survey service
Excellent technical and project management skills
Experience in operations and business practices
Must have insight to the survey service
Effective written and verbal communication is necessary and independent judgement is essential
Handle multiple priorities well

Responsibilities

Develop and coordinate service-specific education and staff development in the region.
Works with Division Survey Service Leader, Regional Leader, and local service leaders to develop and implement a strategic plan to advance service initiatives that supports the goals of the division.
Provides leadership, mentoring and empowerment to local service leaders in each office.
Works with Division Survey Service Leader, Regional Leader, and local service leaders to develop short- and long-term growth plans for the survey service.
Ensures company culture, policies and procedures are consistently implemented within the service team.
Stay current on service-specific trends, technology, software, hardware and equipment.
Drive value based on innovation.
Work with Division Service Leader and local service leaders to develop and implement standards for work products specific to the service such as design standards, reports, specifications, data files, etc.
Responsible for service-based workload coordination across the region.
Advise Division Service Leader and Regional Leader in hiring decisions and identify technical resource needs as it relates to the service group in the region.
Work with the Division Service Leader and Regional Leader to review compensation for consistency across the service team in the region.
Support market-based and/or service-based business development in each land office in the region by providing technical expertise and survey revenue generation.
Participate in Westwood’s wellness and safety program and ensure the practices are being implemented within the service group across the region.
Ensures division, regional, and company policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey service.
