Requirements

4 - 8 years of experience supervising a survey field crew.
Ability to operate robotic total stations, electronic data collectors, digital and optical levels, and RTK GPS equipment.
Excellent math skills and ability to perform survey calculations in the field.
Ability to interpret design plans and understand as-built drawings and roadway plans.
Ability to create legible field sketches and detailed field notes.
A valid current driver’s license is required.
Ability to follow instructions and have a positive can-do attitude.
Possess leadership and mentoring skills.
Ability to lift 50 pounds, walk for extended periods, work in all weather conditions.
Willing to work evenings/weekends when required.
Willing to travel for overnight and extended stay projects as required.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
Highschool Diploma/GED.
Valid Driver’s License.
Ability to maintain required certifications.

Responsibilities

Supervising a survey field crew performing control surveys, boundary and topographic surveys, construction stakeout, monitoring and as-built surveys.
Mentoring, training, and managing assigned staff in the field.
Operating robotic total stations, electronic data collectors, digital and optical levels, and RTK GPS equipment.
Performing survey calculations in the field.
Interpreting design plans and understanding as-built drawings and roadway plans.
Creating legible field sketches and detailed field notes.
Performing other duties as assigned.
