About The Position

Join our team as a Party Chief, where your expertise will contribute significantly to the success of our projects while fostering a collaborative work environment. Kier + Wright is signatory to the Operating Engineers Local 3. If ability to self qualify is not available, candidate may be required to enroll and complete apprenticeship program. Requirements

Experience in land surveying with an understanding of surveying principles.
Proficiency in software such as Trimble Access, Civil 3D is a plus, and Microsoft for data collection, staking, drafting, and data downloads/analysis.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all work performed.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while adhering to safety protocols.
A valid driver's license and good driving record is required for travel to job sites.

Nice To Haves

CAD experience is a plus (not required)
Experience with 3D scanning technology is preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct land surveys using advanced equipment such as GPS, 3D scanners, and total stations.
Prepare and maintain detailed survey records, including notes, sketches, and reports.
Collaborate with engineers and project surveyors to discuss project requirements and timelines.
Train junior staff on surveying techniques and equipment operation.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices during all surveying activities.
