About The Position

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Survey Field Representative to join the Orange office. This role involves performing medium-scale field surveys for ALTA, engineering design topo, and boundary purposes, acting in the capacity of the party chief. Responsibilities include preparing field notes and sketches, pre-calculating and downloading field data, and processing conventional and GPS data using StarNet software. The position also requires researching boundary and easement title documents, performing boundary analysis, and using AutoCAD Civil 3D software to produce detailed subdivision maps, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, and other various survey-related maps or exhibits. Additionally, the role involves preparing legal descriptions and exhibits for right of way, easements, and acquisition parcels.

Requirements

• Experience utilizing GPS RTK and static data collection
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) Certification and/or Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) Certification desired
• Bachelors in a surveying or engineering curriculum
