Survey Intern - Summer 2026
About The Position
Woolpert is seeking a Survey Technician Intern for the Summer 2026. This position reports to Management Consulting leadership. The Survey Technician Intern will work alongside Woolpert Survey field technicians collecting and processing survey data. Projects may include scanning, Topos-Boundary, and Photo Control (Fly over points set on the ground), which directly impact the communities where we live and work. Other projects could involve assisting with GIS, completing transportation PASER analysis, performing aggregate depth analysis, and data collection. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position, and applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.
Requirements
- Be enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university, preferably with at least sophomore status
- Be studying Surveying or related field
- Be willing to work outside in the field in all types of weather conditions
- Have a general understanding and working knowledge of various Survey equipment
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Be a self-motivated student
- Have exceptional multitasking and time management skills
- Be willing to travel when needed through the duration of the internship
- Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of Trimble Business Center Software, Microstation, and AutoCAD is preferred
Responsibilities
- Work as part of the integrated Survey field team
- Gain real-world experience collecting data in the field with licensed surveyors
- Assist with the collection and processing of data for clients
- Perform tasks and solve problems with a high degree of independence
