About The Position

A Survey Field Technician II is responsible for assisting the Crew Chief in the operation of a field survey crew. The major objectives are the quality (accuracy, thoroughness, meeting regulatory requirements, public relations) of work, safety, and maintenance of equipment. The role involves operating equipment, maintaining a safe work environment, protecting and maintaining equipment and vehicles, and accurately and efficiently collecting field data and locating features. Some overnight travel may be required. This position requires a lot of walking outside year-round through all kinds of terrain and in extreme heat and cold.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Good technical skills.
Process-oriented behavioral traits including being steady, helpful, analytical, a problem solver, likes work alone when required, methodical, consistent, detail oriented, precise, hates mistakes, likes structure.
Valid driver's license.
Acceptable motor vehicle record.
Cleared background check.
Negative drug test result.

Nice To Haves

EFB data collection experience preferred.
One (1) to two (2) years of progressive experience in land survey field operations.
Proficiency with land survey equipment (total stations) and GPS.
Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Motivated to learn and develop your career path.
