About The Position
Soltesz is currently accepting resumes for the full-time position of Field Technician in our Waldorf, MD office.
Requirements
- Minimum of 0-2 years’ field survey or construction experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willing to work in extreme weather conditions (i.e., cold, hot)
- Ability to walk, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to read, write and comprehend English
- Valid Driver’s License is required
Responsibilities
- Assisting with construction stake out, boundary surveys and topographic mapping
- Assisting in the operation of a total station, data collector, GPS, and other survey equipment on field survey sites
- Gathering survey data to be used as a base plan
- Assisting in the marking and measuring of field points
- Placing survey stakes and irons
- Collection of survey activities in the field
- Cutting and clearing brush and trees from line of survey as needed
