Requirements
- Experience working with Chinook salmon (identify, assess condition and activity)
- Experience wading in streams and with non-motorized paddle craft (pontoons, rafts)
- Experience collecting biological samples
- Experience handling live fish and fish carcasses
- Experience collecting and recording data
- Anyone who has or is in pursuit of a Fisheries or Wildlife Science degree or related degree in biological/ecological sciences
Responsibilities
- Fish collection and processing at a hatchery
- Spawning ground surveys for carcass recovery
- Creel (recreational fishery) surveys
- Mark-recapture surveys
- Request permission from private landowners to conduct surveys on their property
