About The Position
Perform necessary surveying duties such as creating or using field notes and calculations to obtain field survey data.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Two (2) or more years of surveying or construction experience
- Knowledge of survey instruments and procedures or construction standards
- Must have basic knowledge of trigonometry, geometry and math
Responsibilities
- Sets up and operates equipment
- Reads and surveys maps and construction plans
- Locates right of ways
- Performs construction staking as required
- Assists in setting grades for drainage culverts and correcting drainage problems
- Assists in taking field notes, performs calculations and documents work in field notes as needed
- Performs Survey Party Chief duties as needed
- Services and maintains equipment and supplies
- Trains and instructs subordinate survey personnel
- Performs all other related duties as assigned
