About The Position

AHBL is seeking a Survey Crew Chief for their Tri-Cities office. This role involves planning, organizing, and directing survey crews to ensure projects are completed within budget and to client satisfaction. The position requires a mix of office and field work on diverse projects such as residential subdivisions, educational facilities, and military installations. Specific survey types include ALTA/ACSM land title surveys, route surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of surveying experience.
  • Survey Crew Chief experience required.
  • Extensive knowledge of land surveying principles and practices.
  • Working knowledge of TDS, Trimble software, Trimble Robotic Total Stations, and GPS equipment.
  • Ability to organize field notes and execute field staking.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and computer skills.
  • A valid Washington State driver’s license.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain clearance to work at local military installations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and direct the survey crew.
  • Ensure work is completed within budget and to clients’ satisfaction.
  • Perform a mix of office and field work.
  • Work on a variety of projects including residential subdivisions, educational facilities, and military installations.
  • Perform ALTA/ACSM land title surveys, route surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking projects.
  • Organize field notes and execute field staking.
