About The Position

Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) is looking for a dedicated Survey Crew Chief to join our team in Laurel, Maryland. In this role, you will play a crucial part in executing boundary, topographic, and construction surveys. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automated survey instrumentation and a solid understanding of construction plans and stakeout techniques.

Requirements

Function effectively as a one-person crew utilizing cutting-edge robotic and GPS equipment.
Working knowledge of construction layout, cut sheets, and survey calculations, as well as boundary and title surveys.
Experience with topographic surveys and the collection of survey data.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a survey crew or party chief role.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with AutoCAD is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Perform boundary, topographic, and construction stakeout surveys.
Utilize robotic total stations and GPS/GNSS equipment to collect accurate survey data.
Ability to work independently as a one-person robotic survey crew while coordinating with project managers and field teams.
Interpret construction plans, cut sheets, and perform survey calculations.
Conduct field data collection for topographic and boundary surveys.
