About The Position

ESP Associates, Inc. is seeking a full-time Survey CAD Technician in our Hendersonville, NC office. This position requires work to be performed in the office as well as the field. The role involves land development survey experience with an emphasis on commercial, residential, various route types, and construction layout. The candidate will be required to demonstrate strong self-motivational and organizational skills, experience with survey computations and platting, as well as field experience.

Requirements

• Demonstrated strong self-motivational and organizational skills.
• Experience with survey computations and platting.
• Field experience.
• Land Development survey experience.
• Experience with Trimble data collection, GPS receivers, robotic total stations, Civil 3d 2013, MicroStation, Geopak.
• Computer skills for submittal of daily files including downloading of data, preparation/organization of field sketches & digital photographs, completion of daily checklists & timesheets, and vehicle navigation.
• Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree or higher in surveying technology/geomatics, civil engineering, or related field.
• Registration as a SIT.
• 5+ years’ experience in land surveying.
• Emphasis on commercial, residential, various route types, and construction layout.
• Experience with PLSCADD and ArcGIS.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google Earth, and Trimble Data Transfer.

Responsibilities

• Perform survey computations and platting.
• Conduct field surveying.
• Perform land development surveys with emphasis on commercial, residential, various route types, and construction layout.
• Utilize Trimble data collection, GPS receivers, robotic total stations, Civil 3d 2013, MicroStation, and Geopak.
• Manage daily files including downloading data, preparing/organizing field sketches & digital photographs, and completing daily checklists & timesheets.
• Navigate vehicles for field work.
