Craig A. Smith & Associates, LLC is currently seeking an experienced Survey Party Chief to join our surveying Department. The candidate will be responsible for the preparation of survey plats and maps including boundary surveys, as-built surveys, topographic surveys, utility route surveys, etc. while meeting the requirements of various south Florida agencies. Work assignments may vary depending on the current project needs and requirements, but will be coordinated and communicated by the candidate’s supervisor. Responsibilities will also include individual project management, processing of data collected by survey crews, preparation of CAD files, construction staking calculations, and occasional field work. The successful candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision to complete projects with demanding scopes and schedules. This position is full time based in our Deerfield Beach office.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of surveying related experience.
Proficient using latest version of AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

Preparation of survey plats and maps including boundary surveys, as-built surveys, topographic surveys, utility route surveys, etc. while meeting the requirements of various south Florida agencies.
Individual project management.
Processing of data collected by survey crews.
Preparation of CAD files.
Construction staking calculations.
Occasional field work.
