We are seeking a Survey CAD Technician II to join our team in Addison, TX, to contribute to delivering exceptional engineering and geomatics solutions and improving the communities where we live, work, and play.

Requirements

  • 2 - 8+ years of drafting experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Experience processing survey computation.
  • Experience with Trimble Business Center.
  • Experience with Data Processing.
  • Experience with GPS.
  • Experience with Boundary surveys.
  • Experience with ALTA/ACSM Land Title surveys.
  • Experience with Topographic surveys.
  • Experience with Utility Route surveys.
  • Experience with Construction Staking.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D 2018 knowledge required.
  • Good technical skills.
  • Behavioral traits: process oriented, steady, helpful, analytical, problem solver, methodical, consistent, detail oriented, precise, hates mistakes, likes structure.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
  • The ability to balance multiple work assignments on multiple projects at the same time is required.

  • Requires process-oriented thinking with strong organizational and technical skills.
  • Requires excellent communication, and the ability to take and understand directives.
  • The ability to complete work consistently, with moderate flexibility to accommodate varying project demands is required.
  • Candidates are required to have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record as determined by McKim & Creed.
  • Candidates are required to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Production of maps and drawings in collaboration with the RPLS Survey Manager & Team.
  • Coordinate the production of maps and drawings to ensure quality, and meet budgets and schedules.
  • Download/upload field data, perform technical production of maps and drawings using various software platforms, and communicate with the project team.
  • Ensure quality of work by verifying its accuracy, thoroughness, and clarity prior to submission.
  • Meet project deadlines, ensure budgets are aligned, remain responsive to clients, and ensure proper communication with the project team.
  • Manage CAD drawing files for production, deliverables, and archiving.
  • Prepare drawings for various members of the project team.
  • Coordinate with individuals outside of the project team as necessary for project development.
  • Perform other miscellaneous technical and non-technical duties as assigned.
  • On occasion, fieldwork may be required, including observation of sitework.
