About The Position

A Survey CAD Technician I is responsible for the production of maps and drawings. This role involves coordinating the production of maps and drawings to ensure quality, accuracy, thoroughness, and clarity while meeting budgets and schedules. The technician will be responsible for downloading/uploading field data, performing technical production of maps and drawings using various software platforms, and communicating with the project team. Property research, both online and in the courthouse, is also a key part of the role.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • AutoCAD Civil training/education certificate.
  • 40-hour work week with potential overtime.
  • Proficient technical skills: behavioral traits of process oriented, steady, helpful, analytical, problem solver, likes to work alone when required, methodical, consistent, detail oriented, precise, hates mistakes, likes structure.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, an acceptable motor vehicle report and cleared criminal background check and a negative drug test result.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2018, processing survey computation, Carlson, C&G, Trimble, Data processing, GPS, boundary, surveys, ALTA/ACSM Land Title surveys, topographic surveys, utility route surveys and construction staking.
  • Proficient in Microstation, primary drafting software.
  • Working Knowledge of AutoCAD C3D.
  • Previous use of Inroads and Openroads, main software for mapping projects.
  • Strong plus using Trimble Business Center.
  • Strong plus experience reducing field data in Microstation Inroads or Openroads.
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the production of maps and drawings to cover all details so that the quality (accuracy, thoroughness, clarity) is present, and budgets and schedules are met.
  • Responsible for downloading/uploading field data, technical production of maps and drawings using various software platforms, communicating with project team.
  • Performing property research both online and in the courthouse as needed.
