Survey CAD Tech/Field Chief
About The Position
BGE, Inc. is a nationwide civil engineering consulting firm offering diverse career opportunities in a wide range of disciplines for public and private infrastructure projects. This role involves a combination of office and field work on projects including land development, site development, and public works. The position requires drafting survey projects using AutoCAD Civil3D or Bentley MicroStation, creating digital terrain models from field survey data, reviewing work for quality control, and conducting deed research, all under the direct supervision of a Professional Land Surveyor. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2 + years of land survey experience
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D
- Knowledge of MicroStation (Inroads & GeoPak) is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisor, and others
- Willingness and ability to be based in an office and do occasional field work.
Nice To Haves
- Specialized vocational training is a plus
- Knowledge of Trimble Business Center (TBC) is a plus
- Knowledge of MicroStation (Inroads & GeoPak) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Combination of office and field work

- Conduct deed research
- Work under the direct supervision of a Professional Land Surveyor
- Identify possible problems, and conflicts, and bring them to the supervisor’s attention
