Currently, we have an opportunity for a Survey Assistant – Grande Prairie, AB ($25-$30/hr.) who, ideally, has experience in the Survey industry and has the desire to grow and learn with an innovative, forward-thinking company.

Requirements

A High School Diploma and an interest in the Geomatics industry.
Familiarity with the work of a survey crew.
Experience working in outdoor bush conditions as well as industrial construction sites.
Certification in First Aid, H2S, CSTS, or equivalent.
Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
Ability to provide a passing drug and alcohol test result upon request.
Strong communication skills.
Experience with riding ATVs and snowmobiles.

Nice To Haves

Post-secondary Geomatics education is an asset.

Responsibilities

Assist with surveying oilfield and construction sites in Western Canada.
Willing and able to travel as shift work may last up to 21 days.
Take direction and instruction from the Crew Chief.
Maintain a safe work environment and awareness of safety issues.
Perform a variety of survey-related tasks such as use and/or maintenance of GPS equipment, ongoing survey data collection, and other duties as directed by the Crew Chief.
Build a team environment through high-quality communication skills with trades, staff, and clients.
