Requirements

High school graduate with a minimum of one year of previous experience, post-secondary training in an applicable field, or a combination of the two
Able to work extended hours and weekends as required when the job requires your presence
A clear, concise communicator with excellent organizational and follow up skills
Computer savvy and well-versed in MS Office suite. Survey-specific programs experience an asset
Physically fit and able to carry GPS equipment across uneven terrain and in all climates.

Responsibilities

Adhere to all Safety, Environmental and project requirements
Provide geomatic services
Aid the survey team in timely and accurate completion of surveys- set up, clean, calibrate and remove equipment
Work outside in all types of weather, sometimes at-heights or in steep terrain
Complete reports and follow up, aid in Computer-assisted drafting and technical programs
Complete daily survey tasks as assigned by your crew chief
Set up operation of conventional survey and GPS systems
Prepare accurate and timely field notes
Clean, calibrate and maintain survey equipment
