About The Position

This is a part-time position for a Survey Administrator responsible for traveling to selected locations to administer surveys or assessments to study participants. The role involves making in-person contact with respondents, communicating with school staff regarding data collection, parental consent, and student eligibility, and managing administrative duties such as participating in conference calls and completing online trainings. The position requires the use and care of project-issued equipment and timely submission of reports. The role also involves attending virtual meetings with the project team. The physical demands include standing, walking, climbing stairs, and transporting equipment weighing 15 pounds or more.

Requirements

  • Possess effective communication skills through speech and listening
  • Fluency in English through reading, writing, and speaking
  • Available for entire training and data collection period
  • Able to successfully complete training
  • Must have a valid US driver’s license and reliable personal automobile available for business use
  • Comfortable using RTI issued tablet, laptop, and other associated equipment
  • Access to password protected WiFI connection for data transmission and administrative responsibilities
  • Able to keep project information confidential
  • Willingness to work in various types of weather conditions and after dark
  • Ability and willingness to drive up to three hours from home to assigned sampled schools
  • Ability and willingness to drive more than three hours from home to assigned sampled schools requiring an overnight stay
  • Ability to uphold project-specific standard operating procedures and guidelines.
  • Ability to work early morning weekday hours when survey dates take place.

Responsibilities

  • Traveling frequently to selected locations to administer survey or assessments to study participants
  • Making in-person contact with selected respondents to discuss the study, answer questions, and obtain participation
  • Prompting school staff by email and phone for missing data collection information
  • Hosting meetings with school staff to assess preparedness of scheduled survey dates, ensuring survey day logistics are completed
  • Communicating with school staff to track parental consent returns and student eligibility
  • Independently managing administrative duties, including participating in conference calls and completing online trainings
  • Assuming full and legal responsibility for use and care of project issued equipment
  • Safeguarding any issued equipment or project materials against damage, loss, or theft
  • Submitting timely and accurate Time and Expense reports
  • Attending virtually scheduled meetings with other members of the project team
