About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is Now Hiring a Surveillance Security Officer! This role requires a sharp eye and attention to detail, as the officer will be responsible for scanning a series of screens and spotting threats before they escalate. The position is located in Ashburn, VA. The ideal candidate will have strong observation skills and the ability to work in environments such as security operations centers, call centers, or parking gatehouses.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent (GED)
• Ability to pass an extensive screening process
• At least 2 years of Security, Military, and/or Law Enforcement experience
• Active Virginia DCJS security license
• At least 21 years of age or older
• Experience utilizing Microsoft applications or Google applications, and Security Systems
• Experience with Incident/ DAR reports

Nice To Haves

• Ability to walk and stand for 8+ hours
• Ability to work weekends and overnights as well as other shifts if needed
• Overnights shifts are 10pm to 6am
• Holidays may be needed to work
• Days on/ off will vary based on site needs
• Not guaranteed full time hours

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property
