About The Position

This is an hourly position limited to working no more than 1,500 hours per agency during the 12-month period of May 1 – April 30, regardless of the hire date. The hourly employment period resets on May 1 of the following year. All hourly employees are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week on average over the 12-month period. This hourly position offers no state benefits.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of surveillance and investigative techniques.
  • Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and Automated Databases.
  • Demonstrated experience to collect pertinent information from a variety of sources, maintain logs, and document discussions with inmates, or probationers in a human service setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Working knowledge of an electronic, voice monitoring system &/or anytrax.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with case management computer applications.
  • Demonstrated experience making referrals to community resources.

Responsibilities

  • Assists Probation Officers in the supervision, surveillance, and investigation of an assigned caseload of adult inmates.
  • Investigates and verifies information on alleged violations.
  • Assists in monitoring probationers and assists in preparing reports and maintaining documentation.
