About The Position

SierTeK is seeking an experienced Surveillance and Reconnaissance (SR) Instructor to support the Special Tactics Training Squadron (STTS). The selected candidate will provide instruction, curriculum development support, and subject matter expertise in support of advanced Special Tactics training programs. This position supports the development and readiness of Air Force Special Warfare personnel through classroom, field, and practical instruction focused on surveillance, reconnaissance, and special operations mission execution.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Special Tactics operator and graduate of the USAF Special Reconnaissance Course; or Minimum of five (5) years of current Special Reconnaissance experience within a Special Operations Forces (SOF) sister service.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of surveillance and reconnaissance operations, tactics, techniques, and procedures.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior instructor or evaluator experience within Air Force Special Warfare, Special Tactics, or other SOF organizations.
  • Experience developing or revising military training curriculum and courseware.
  • Experience supporting operational preparation of the environment (OPE), reconnaissance missions, intelligence collection, or advanced tactical training programs.
  • Experience operating in joint or multi-service special operations environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction and training support for Special Tactics personnel in accordance with approved Programs of Instruction (POI).
  • Develop, review, and update lesson plans, course materials, and training documentation.
  • Support training events involving surveillance and reconnaissance operations, operational preparation of the environment (OPE), mission planning, communications, land navigation, small unit tactics, and other Special Tactics mission areas.
  • Conduct classroom, field, and practical exercises to develop student proficiency and mission readiness.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain training records and ensure compliance with applicable standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with government personnel to support curriculum improvements and training effectiveness.
