About The Position

The Surveillance Agent is responsible for performing surveillance duties to ensure state and federal gaming laws and policies and procedures are being maintained in games, slots, cashiers and count rooms. This role also provides security for slot equipment, monitors jackpot and floor fill data into the SIS Computer, and performs surveillance of the casino gaming floor, parking lot, parking garage, back-of-the-house areas, outbuildings and shops by means of complex electronic and video equipment. The Surveillance Agent provides superior customer service, positively affects interactions with customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers. They observe and report any and all gaming violations and/or thefts of property. They operate monitor room equipment, including basic computer functions, and monitor slot equipment of SIS System to provide security for company assets and funds. They maintain video surveillance of the entire casino, including table games, slots, food and beverage outlets, parking lot, parking garages, hotel/casino complex, outbuildings and shops. They video record gaming and security-related incidents within the realm of monitor room video recording and surveillance capabilities. They participate in court actions relating to gaming violations. They learn and use various card count systems and learn all games in use at Belterra Casino Resort & Spa and all procedures and cheating indicators of such games. They maintain paper video logs and maintain logs per department and company procedures, writing proper reports as needed. They respond to surveillance supervision and gaming control requests, as well as all other departments when necessary.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of different table games.
  • Effective mathematics and communication skills.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • These skills are typically acquired through a high school education or equivalent and two months of on-the-job training or through closely related experience.
