About The Position

The Surplus Buyer is responsible for entering lists, researching pricing for Radwell’s website, negotiating offers, processing Purchase Orders, and documenting correspondence relating to Offers and Purchase Orders. This role involves achieving monthly metrics for purchasing surplus stock and may include other duties as assigned. The position is primarily an office-based role requiring computer and telephone operation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • One to three years related experience and/or training.
  • Strong Computer proficiency.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work at fast pace.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Problem solving abilities.
  • Good communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior knowledge of Industrial products would be helpful, but not required.
  • Technical or Industrial product knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Enter lists, approve pricing, and process purchase orders to attain Metric goals.
  • Research items to determine if the part requires market analysis, including List Price, Sellable Price, Product Description, Photograph, Series Merge, Item Merge, and Repair Price.
  • Research buy prices that will be used to negotiate Offers and purchase surplus inventory.
  • Document correspondence relating to an Offer or Purchase Order in the notes field of the database, including vendor communication, revisions, and staff member instructions.
  • Purchase 2500 line items and $2.5MM sell price of surplus stock per month.
  • Process resolutions (400 items) and Blind Bid Processing (250 items) if workload is current.
