About The Position

This role is responsible for the assembly and reconciliation of surgical trays and sets, ensuring accurate record-keeping of all inventory transactions. The specialist will manage inventory, support the sales force with technical information, and ensure timely availability of trays and sets to customers. Key duties include maintaining inventory accuracy, communicating with customers regarding specific needs and missing items, reporting defective materials, and ensuring the work area is clean and orderly. The position also involves supporting shipping and receiving operations, coordinating with purchasing and operations departments for stock levels, and maintaining adequate shipping supplies. Miscellaneous tasks to meet business needs will also be performed.

Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects unassisted.
  • Required to lift more than 60 pounds rarely and/or 25 to 60 pounds occasionally.
  • Required to see clearly at a distance of 20 inches or less.
  • Must be able to judge distance and spatial relationships.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Inventory Management Systems.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Experience with ERP platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Tray/set assembly and reconciliation.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all incoming and outgoing tray and set transactions in shipping and receiving logs.
  • Utilize Sage for accurate record-keeping of all set transactions.
  • Contact customers regarding missing or extra implants/instruments.
  • Contact customers regarding specific needs to ensure requests are processed properly.
  • Accurate monitoring and storage of inventory.
  • Support the sales force by providing technical information.
  • Provide tray/set availability to customers.
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed regulations.
  • Support the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies.
  • Perform shipping duties, including proper packaging methods and interpretation of visual aids for packaging requirements.
  • Work with purchasing, receiving, and operations departments to monitor the status of back-ordered products.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of shipping materials is always on hand.
  • Coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure sufficient stock for building sets and filling inventory requests.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks as required to meet business needs.
