About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a civilian Surgical Technologist at the University of Tennesee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. This position offers the chance to care for Military Families and includes benefits such as Paid Time Off, Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K. The work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts, with an on-call requirement. On-call duty begins Friday at 1830 and ends Monday at 0630, occurring one weekend per month. If called in, the technologist must be able to report within 30 minutes.

Requirements

One year of experience as a Surgical Technician or Operating Room Technician after graduation
Graduate from a Surgical Technology program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), or completion of a formal training program provided by any U.S. Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force) for surgical technicians, surgical technologists or operating room technicians
Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certified as a Tech-in-Surgery (TS-C) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
Ability to report within 30 minutes if called in for on-call duty
