About The Position

The Certified Surgical Technologist works directly with the physician and circulating registered nurse during each surgical procedure. The role requires understanding and working within the scope of practice established by training, facility policies, and the job description. The position is with Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center.

Requirements

• Certification from an accredited school of surgical technology.
• At least one year of Surgical Tech experience.
• Certified as a Certified Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), as of January 1, 2018; or successful completion of a surgical technologist training program administered by the United States Public Health Service, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard; or engagement in the practice of surgical technology in a health care facility before January 1, 2018.
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
