About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team for a full-time contract position. This role is vital in supporting surgical procedures across various specialties, ensuring that all necessary instruments and equipment are prepared and maintained in a sterile environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
- State of Iowa Mandatory Reporter Training.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required.
Nice To Haves
- Surgical Technologist Certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and maintaining a sterile field during surgical procedures.
- Provide support to surgeons and other medical personnel by passing instruments, sutures, and other supplies as needed.
- Prepare and organize the operating room prior to surgery, ensuring all required equipment is available and functioning.
- Participate in cleaning and restocking the operating room and surgical instruments post-procedure.
- Monitor and assess the needs of the surgical team throughout the procedure.
