About The Position
As a Surgical Technologist, you will facilitate operative or other invasive procedures. You will develop and maintain positive relationships with our patients, guests, other team members, and medical staff by striving for excellence in service and quality. Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, facilitates the operative or other invasive procedure by preparing and providing the required sterile instruments, supplies and equipment. All team members of Southeast Georgia Health System will promote a culture of safety, follow established policies, and adhere to all state and federal regulatory requirements, Joint Commission requirements, and national patient safety standards. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school or Surgical Technologist program or 5 years Surgical Tech experience required.
- BLS Certification required.
Nice To Haves
- One year perioperative services experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Functioning as a scrub person during operative procedures
- Cleaning and preparing surgical instruments for processing
- Assisting with post-procedure cleaning of the procedure room and preparing for subsequent patients
