About The Position

The Surgical Technologist prepares the operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies; hands instruments and supplies to the surgeon during procedures; assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients; and maintains organized instruments while monitoring and tracking instrument counts throughout procedures. The role is based at Columbia St Mary's Hospital Milwaukee in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in the Surgery department, and has a rotating-shift, full-time schedule.

Requirements

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
• Meet one of the stated education and experience alternatives: high school diploma equivalency with two years of cumulative experience; an associate's or technical degree; or four years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.

Nice To Haves

• CST licensure or certification.
• Previous CVOR experience.
