About The Position

In a single day, staff from 4 specialty based teams work within 16 Operating Room Suites to handle as many as 40 cases ranging from Cardiothoracic, Neuro/Orthopedics/Dental, General/Vascular/ ENT, GYN, Urology, to Plastics surgery. Waukesha Memorial Hospitals Operating Rooms average 8,500 procedures annually including da Vinci Robotic procedures performed within more specialties routinely than any other facility in SE Wisconsin. The OR suite also includes a newly built Hybrid OR and a fully integrated Minimally Invasive Robotic room. As a Surgical Technologist, you will function as the scrub person during invasive and operative procedures. Under the direct supervision of an RN or physician, you will facilitate a physician's performance of therapeutic, diagnostic, and invasive procedures. You will ensure the operating room is safe, equipment is functioning, and patient safety is maximized throughout the procedure.

Requirements

Associate’s Degree.
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (CST) preferred or equivalent military training.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a hospital operating room setting.
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or ability to obtain upon hire
