About The Position

Use your talents by being our surgeons’ extra hands as a surgical technologist. Join our Monticello Surgical Services Team! Surgical Technologists at CentraCare are critical to successful surgeries! Your hands are often closer to the surgeon’s than anyone else’s. Our Surg Techs are there to prepare for a patient’s arrival and stay in the operating room to ensure their best possible outcome. You’ll prepare operating rooms for a wide range of surgeries and procedures, inventory surgical materials and tools to assure patient safety, and suit up with surgeons to help them save and improve patients’ lives.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program.
Associate Degree from a surgical first assistant program.
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification as a Surgical Technologist required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
Demonstrated communication skills
Team minded
Able to read and communicate effectively in English
Strong written and verbal skills
Strong interpersonal human relations skills
Ability to read and communicate effectively.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work in a team environment and/or work independently as needed.
Basic computer knowledge required.
