This PRN position is for a Surgical Technologist with a primary shift being 1800-0600. The role requires a thorough knowledge of aseptic technique and its application. The Surgical Technologist will assist in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments before, during, and after surgical procedures. They will also assist the Registered Nurse circulator in patient preparation, assembly of supplies, instruments, and equipment, and the proper disposition of all specimens. The role involves assisting with all aspects of room turnover, monitoring surgical supplies for sterility, ensuring judicious use of supplies, and accurate documentation of charges. Additionally, the technologist will monitor and document sterilization activities, attend in-services and staff meetings, participate in the Performance Improvement Process, and assist in the development of policies and procedures.
