About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for a 13-week contract opportunity with a respected healthcare facility in Iowa. The ideal candidate will have strong operating room experience across multiple surgical specialties and a commitment to maintaining sterile technique, patient safety, and surgical efficiency.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Iowa Mandatory Reporter Training required
• Ability to remain within 30 minutes of the facility while on-call
• Required Surgical Experience in General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, OBGYN, Podiatry, Urology, Dental Procedures

Nice To Haves

• Surgical Technologist Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments
• Assist surgeons and clinical teams during operative procedures
• Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment efficiently
• Follow infection prevention and sterilization protocols
• Support patient safety and operating room workflow
• Participate in scheduled on-call, weekend, and holiday rotations
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
