About The Position

Old Tesson Surgery Center is seeking a dedicated Surgical Tech to join their esteemed team. As a Surgical Tech, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to patients, while upholding the core beliefs of value, integrity, continuity, accessibility, and community engagement. The Surgical Technologist works under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, scrubs for surgical procedures, and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. This role involves preparing and maintaining supplies, instruments, and equipment related to surgical procedures, supporting the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center, and supporting and participating in quality improvement activities.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians

Nice To Haves

• Completion of an appropriate surgical technician program or previous surgical technician experience of at least two years
