About The Position

Metro Specialty Surgery Center is hiring a Full-Time Surgical Technologist. This role involves scrubbing for surgical procedures under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, functioning as a member of the surgical team. The Surgical Technologist is responsible for preparing and maintaining supplies, instruments, and equipment related to surgical procedures, and supporting the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. The ideal candidate will focus on excellent customer service, possess the ability to multi-task, show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, maintain professional competencies, and work effectively as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed.
Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.

Nice To Haves

Completion of an appropriate surgical technician program.
Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center.
