Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Current BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted) upon hire and maintained.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in various surgical specialties
- Graduation from an ORT training program within 6 months of hire or on-the-job training with a minimum of 2 years experience in a surgical setting
Responsibilities
- Set up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures.
- Maintain a sterile environment and sterilize all instruments before surgery.
- Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon and assist with various tasks.
- Count and manage sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures.
- Help position and drape patients appropriately for surgery.
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth operations.
