About The Position

The Certified Surgical Technologist functions under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. This role involves following established procedural guides for preparing sterile supplies and equipment for surgical procedures, performing appropriate room duties related to direct patient care, and acting as a member of the operating room team. The technologist must comply with hospital objectives and policies, as well as AORN Standards, and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the developmental level of patients.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or surgical technology military program
• Must maintain BLS card from the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

• Hold and maintain the Certified Surgical Technologist credential administered by Surgical Technologist Board Organization (NBSTSA) or The American Board of Surgical Assistants (ABSA)
• One year OR experience
