About The Position

The Surgical Technologist SE position in the Surgery Room at High Point Medical Center is a full-time role responsible for ensuring quality patient care, safety, and advocacy. This role involves critical thinking, anticipation and management of case-specific needs under the supervision of an RN. The technologist is responsible for the complete, accurate, and timely care, cleanliness, and management of instruments, equipment, and supplies. Effective, positive, and professional communication with the multidisciplinary team, co-workers, and patients is essential. The position also requires taking personal responsibility for performance and professional growth, and demonstrating cost containment activities related to instruments and inventory.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a Surgical Technology program or from an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
  • Functions effectively under stressful and difficult situations

  • Certification in specialty area preferred.
