Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Successful completion of a surgical technologist training program is required.
Eighteen (18) months of scrub tech experience in an acute care operating room may substitute for the training program requirement.
Two (2) years of acute surgical technologist experience is required.
One (1) year of the experience must include at least two (2) specialty areas (i.e., orthopedics, neurosurgery, robotics, etc.).
Required to have and maintain BLS through American Heart Association.
Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility.
Ability to complete the orientation and training.

Nice To Haves

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification issued through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) is preferred.
