About The Position

The Surgical Technologist works in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care under the direction of a licensed clinical professional in a clinic or practice environment. The role is accountable for technical functions related to the scrub role during the surgical patient’s perioperative experience.

This is a full-time night-shift position, Monday through Thursday, from 8:45 PM to 7:15 AM.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification is required.

Nice To Haves

• Graduation from a surgical technician program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up rooms and prepare patients.
• Prepare rooms with appropriate instruments, sutures, supplies, and equipment; open sterile supplies and arrange sterile setups for operations.
• Perform office tests and administrative duties.
• Assess supplies and equipment for procedures according to surgeons’ preference cards.
• Set up operating rooms with the appropriate equipment and instrumentation for specific procedures.
• Notify the circulator of missing supplies or equipment that may need repair.
• Practice cost containment by opening only the minimum supplies necessary for a procedure.
