About The Position

The Certified Surgical Technologist assists with the care and preparation of surgical patients and the operating room under the direct supervision of an operating room RN. The role is responsible for assembling and setting up surgical instruments and equipment and using them during procedures. Work is primarily routine but may change rapidly to an emergent or critical situation, requiring directed or independent decision-making depending on the circumstances. This position is based at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital & Health Network in Tacoma, Washington, and is scheduled for 0.8 FTE with 8-hour day shifts.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Certified Surgical Technologist program or equivalent experience.
• Active Washington State Surgical Technologist Registration required prior to the start date.
• Health Care Provider-level CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• National certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
• Previous experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
