About The Position
Come join the Nursing Support team at Saint Mary's Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England! The Nursing Support (NS) colleague (uncertified, certified, unlicensed, or licensed) provides safe, quality health care services & / or assistance to patients under the supervision & direction of a registered nurse or other designated health care professional in accordance with level of experience, education, policies & procedures.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Operating Room Technology
- Successful completion of national exam for certification by NBSTSA. Registry Eligible must pass the certification exam within 18 months from date of hire.
- BLS required.
Responsibilities
- Scrubbing and assisting with circulating tasks.
- Arranging instruments on sterile field.
- Maintaining an aseptic controlled environment.
- Assisting with pre-operative review of charts; pre-operative checklist.
