Up to a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus, if hired!! Baptist Health is looking for an experienced Surgical Technologist to support our Surgical Services Team at Wolfson Children's Hospital. This is a Full-Time Days position. Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays when needed. A Surgical Technologist plays a hands-on role in the operating room, directly supporting surgeons, nurses, and patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. Each day requires focus, precision, and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical environment. As a Surgical Technologist for the Pediatric OR, your responsibilities and qualifications will include: Call is required for this position. Requirements
- Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technologist CAAHEP or ABHES Program
- OR - Previous experience working in an Operating Room (OR) setting
- Less than 1 year Completion of Program
- Related Experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) NCCT Required Or
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Required Or
Nice To Haves
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from an accredited program preferred NBSTA or NCCT, but not required
Responsibilities
- Assembling, organizing and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures
- Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and progression of the case and prepare accordingly
- Proper disposition of specimens and instruments
- Works with entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety
