About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: Facilitate successful surgical outcomes by providing dedicated assistance during operative procedures and maintaining a sterile environment. This role requires deep knowledge of specialized equipmen and instrumentation. Description: OR Readiness & Rapid Room Turnover: Drive efficiency in our high-volume center by expediting room turnover between cases. This includes sanitizing beds and equipment, managing waste according to infection control policies, and proactively prepping the suite with the correct equipment for the next scheduled case. Procedural Support & Technical Expertise: Anticipate the needs of the surgical team by gathering specific equipment and instruments based on physician preference cards. You will utilize proper sterile techniques to open supplies and assist with patient transport and positioning, ensuring a safe and seamless operative flow. Team Collaboration: Act as a central link in the surgical team by maintaining constant, clear communication with the Registered Nurse and physicians. You will foster a supportive environment, assist in orienting new personnel, and handle the fast-paced demands of an ambulatory surgery center with professional composure and flexibility. Operational Excellence & Compliance: Support the center’s mission by participating in staff meetings and required in-services to stay current on clinical advancements. You will manage supply inventory economically, initiate equipment repair requisitions when necessary, and take personal responsibility for meeting professional development goals.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Operating room experience required
  • Current BLS certification required

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of hospital main operating room experience desired
  • Certification as a surgical technician preferred
