This role functions as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures, and participates in ongoing educational and competency activities. The position also involves precepting staff, including surgical technicians, nurses, and students.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Surgical Technician Certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
- Must present and submit Certification of Graduation from an ARC/STSA-Accredited Surgical Technology Program
- NBSTSA- Certification is conferred by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
- Staff adheres to all I.C.A.R.E. Standards.
- Basic computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of Surgical Technician experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures

- Precept staff to the surgical technician job duties, including surgical technicians, nurses and students
